Are we doing enough to sustain our environment?

For this assignment, I want you to write a paragraph making a connection to one of the ideas in the reading on pages 129-130. In fact, we did exercise 11 on page 138, and all I am asking you to do is to take one of those connections and expand on it by developing it as a paragraph.

Here is an example of how this could look. 

One of the ways I see that people in Denver are not using renewable resources wisely is how people here water their lawn in the summer. For years, Denver has been in a drought and has seen its reservoirs decline, yet people still water their lawn as though the water is infinite. It amazes me that people think that watering their lawn is a priority when it simply shouldn’t be. We need water to sustain life, and we are simply throwing it away.
